Mersea Island is the perfect place for walking, whether you would like a short stroll of "The Old City" or a longer walk along the "Strood Channel", there are plenty of beautiful views and an abundance of wildlife to see along the way. Not to mention some glorious sunsets!

The West Mersea Island walks leaflet is available to download. It contains 7 detailed walks of varying lengths from 1.5 miles - 3.5 miles. Visit Colchester

The Dog and Pheasant East Mersea have also put together a walk, where you can park up at the pub (you do need to book a table or pop in for refreshments to use their car park, it is for customers only) and take a circular coastal stroll.
